Yes, they are.
As the result of the eruption of the volcano, a large part of the island has sunk to the bottom of the sea and formed an interesting shape, which you can see today. It's a fabulous view from the top of the volcanic cliff...It's a lovely place to visit :nod:

I think so too...
The history and story of the Santorini is quite fascinating and incidentally the volcanic activity ruined some ancient cities around there.
